This is the fourth video in the ongoing series of my best social networking and personal branding tips.
Having your social media links as many places as possible will increase the chances that people connect with you there. If people think that you are only on Twitter for example, actively promoting where else you are will make them aware that you are elsewhere.
It’s all about eyeballs right? Not necessarily quantity of eyeballs, but people being able to consumer your content wherever they want.
YouTube is an area that I really want to focus on with my business. Uploading video has never been easier. This YouTube thing is really taking off 🙂 Correction – it’s MASSIVE!
There are currently over 1 billion users. Many people still like to consume content by reading, more and more are listening these days, and watching has just exploded!
If you plan on uploading videos, I recommend creating a YouTube channel. You can still upload videos to Facebook and other social media channels, but it is nice to have them stored in one place so your audience can consume as much as they want. It acts like a search engine too, and is a great way to get discovered.
Scott Ginsberg, aka “Nametag Scott” is somebody that I admire greatly. I follow his content on a regular basis, and find it very thought provoking, relevant to those developing a personal brand, and may I say DARN entertaining 🙂
Check out this video to see how he turned wearing a name tage 24-7 in to a thriving business.
