Daily Goals are the backbone of your business. Consistency is key. Write down goals and look at them frequently. Without excuse, complete them every night before your head hits the pillow.

I was not the smartest, nor the most naturally gifted student in school. But I did pretty well overall. High school was better for me than university, but I will elaborate on that during a different post 🙂

The one thing that has always given me a competitive advantage over my peers is my dedication to hard work, and never give up attitude. Call it heart, call it ……. well grit like Angela Duckworth does in this awesome video.

Just ask the kids that played hockey against me when I was growing up. Rarely was it a fun experience for them. I would never back down and always played my heart out until the final whistle.

The longer I love, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company…a church….a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you…we are in charge of our attitudes.

I would love to read more books, but just don’t have the time with a busy family life. I read 1-2 business, sports or music books per year, but that is pretty much it.

I discovered Audible audiobooks a few years ago and just love the service!

I have increased my level of knowledge so much by listening to audiobooks when driving around for work, or first thing in the morning/late in the evenings.
