This is a list of my “Success Tools”.  These tools have been incredibly helpful as I continue to develop my social networks, personal brand and website.

Some of these links are affiliate links. This means I receive a small commission (at no additional cost to you) if a purchase is made through my link. I have personal experience using all of these products, and they have helped me greatly as I continue to build my business. The little bit of money that I receive allows me to continue providing free content! 🙂

Audible is so awesome! Like many people, I wish I had more time to read. But with a busy family life, I rarely sit down with a good book. There are 180,000+ selections to choose from, so you will never run out of great content to listen to. Start you free 30 day trial today!

Bigstock are the royalty-free stock photos that I use, and boasts in excess of 27 million images. Prices are competitive, and customer service is excellent. I have dealt with them on several occasions. Start your free 7 day trial now.

Bitly is a URL (address) shortener. It is a convenient, user friendly way to shorten up links to be used on social media posts and other content. It is particularly helpful posting on Twitter where there is a character limit. If in doubt, always shorten messy long links.

Bluehost is the hosting service that I utilize for this website. It came highly recommended by many online entrepreneurs that I follow. Their “How To” instructions are very easy for beginners to follow, and I was surprised how quickly I set everything up!

Disqus is the commenting system that I utilize for the blog portion of this website. The user experience has always been great for me, as it archives all my previous comments that I have contributed to other blogs. You have to create an account, or login via Facebook, Twitter or Google.

Dropbox has helped me a lot for file sharing and backup of documents, pictures and videos. It starts with 2 GB free, and you can earn extra storage from there. Paid services look well priced, it’s user friendly, and ideal for sharing information with colleagues, virtual assistants etc.

I purchased my domain names through GoDaddy, one of the more prevalent companies in the marketplace. I compared several criteria (including pricing) to other big companies, and felt comfortable utilizing them. They periodically have sales which makes them even more appealing! Their “search” function is very helpful for providing other suggestions if a domain is not available. They will also tell you if a domain is for sale, and how much it costs. I have not tried their website building packages yet but have heard good things.

Hootsuite has been a life-saver to help me program social media posts when I go on holidays, during peak times in other countries while I am sleeping, or so I can get ahead with my posts and stay consistent with my content. The free package is sufficient for my requirements right now, but there are paid services too (with a 30 day trial). Try Hootsuite PRO for 30 days by clicking the Hootsuite logo above.

MailChimp is the online email marketing solution that I use to send emails and manage subscribers. The “Knowledge Base” under “Support” on their website was incredibly helpful for a “newbie” like me. I put off setting this up forever, because I thought it would be difficult to do and I would just screw everything up! I had a couple small bumps in the road along the way, but overall, it went well. Pricing is very comparable to similar companies in the marketplace, and I would recommend it to anyone starting to build an email list.

I was very skeptical of using a product like this, because I only consider myself marginally creative, in an artistic way! But I absolutely LOVE using this! The tools and effects are so fun. It was much easier to use than I thought. My wife helped me get through a couple of initial stumbles, then I was off to the races. Turns out with a little help, I was more creative than I thought.

Skype has been a game-changer for me! Having the ability to get on video conferencing calls with people anywhere in the world has been an incredible experience. I’m continually amazed at the quality of the audio, even when I’m not using a microphone. You can even call phone numbers now directly from Skype. Check out all the details under “rates” on their website.
